Sr. Brocade Resident Consultant to provide assistance through the following activities:

Infrastructure management support

• Provide and review best practice recommendations for architecture, design, management and operation of the Kaiser Brocade infrastructure. • Improve infrastructure monitoring and reporting capabilities based on the deployment of Brocade management software.

• Assist in the delivery of Brocade technology proof of concepts.

• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation relating to the Brocade infrastructure within the Kaiser environment. Infrastructure projects • Assess Kaiser’s Brocade infrastructure and make recommendation on improvement and optimization.

• Design or provide advice on Brocade solutions and their integration into the Kaiser environment. • Define and conduct testing procedures for new infrastructure projects. • Implement Brocade technology solutions within the Kaiser environment. Brocade technology liaison

• As directed, liaise with customer business units and related vendors on issues relating to the infrastructure.

• Participate in change management meetings for projects related to the infrastructure.

• Provide informal knowledge transfer to

 Resources on best practices and theory of operation relating to Brocade products. •

Keep the  client informed on new products and services from Brocade. For Kaiser’s current Brocade initiatives, the Brocade Resident Consultant will lead or contribute to the following in-scope project efforts: • Provide detailed SAN Design documentation for new Brocade Gen 6 SAN fabrics. o Advise the KP Design and Engineering teams on the most efficient the SAN topology o Document array SAN connectivity o Factor SAN port requirements based on a pre-determined host/array formula

• Provide detailed SAN Implementation Plans to Kaiser for the Replication Fabric. o Participate in IP Network consults for WAN connectivity o Array FA port identification o SAN Cabling plan o IP network consults o Datacenter connectivity layout

• Assist KP in Operationalizing Fabric Vision and Brocade tools reporting o Skills transfer to IBM Operations o Documentation development and review with IBM Operations o SAN HealthChecks o Best Practice Recommendations

• Provide Brocade CMCNE best practices and guidance. Assist the KP Storage Team in planning future upgrades. • Support for KP to adopt FlowVision, Maps and other Brocade advanced features Brocade Certified, Strong Microsoft Visio and Excel skills, Brocade Switch Migration Experience
